Office building for Quantum Cyber Defense Corp.

somewhere in the US

Set within a secluded grove of mature pines and spring-fed ponds, the 160,000-square-foot headquarters for Quantum Cyber Defense Corp. pursues a quiet dialogue between rigorous security requirements and the rhythms of its landscape.

Each wing rises three stories, its structure wrapped in continuous white, translucent glazing that tempers daylight into a diffuse, glare-free luminance ideal for screen-based research. Layered over the glass, CNC-milled timber screens translate AI-generated noise fields into a perforated grain, shifting density to register sun angle, privacy needs, and views to water. The resulting envelope produces a subtle, animated façade and casts a pixelated chiaroscuro across interior surfaces throughout the day.

Circulation spines link the wings and converge in a single, ground-level reception volume—the campus’s only public threshold—reinforcing perimeter security while concentrating visitor processing. Within each wing, finishes and furnishings vary in tone and materiality, creating legible identities for individual research clusters without interrupting the overall spatial continuum.
