Proposal for a Conceptual Airbnb

Inspired by a relatively new phenomenon, I’ve developed a concept for a speculative Airbnb situated on a stunning coastline, possibly in Los Vilos, Chile, or near Matosinhos, Portugal, or another beautiful location.

The architectural concept explores the idea of juxtaposition. The structure is envisioned as a rugged concrete shell, reinforced and articulated with exposed weathered steel. It has a minimal footprint and heroically cantilevers from the rocks over the beach.

In contrast, the interior is characterized by soft, curving wood surfaces throughout. All spaces fully open up to the outside, inviting in the fresh sea breezes or mists and creating a visceral connection with the natural surroundings.
