Classroom building
Utrecht Science Park, Netherlands

A conceptual design for a classroom building at the Science Park of the University of the Dutch city of Utrecht.

The Architecture conceptualizes the program as a beehive of infinitely customizable spaces and activities.

Here, every classroom, and every office, can be uniquely personalized.

Sixty meters above the ground, the towers are interconnected by a colored glass viewing bridge—inspired by Aarhus’ iconic ‘Your rainbow panorama’.
As you move through this bridge, the glass panes shift seamlessly through all the colors of the visible spectrum.

From this vantage point to contemplate the campus below, the university is viewed through different colored lenses as it were—
diverse in its perspectives, yet unified.

By emphasizing art over pure utility, the design intrinsically links the project with the vibrant, avant-garde architecture that defines the campus.

The new architecture stands as a vital visual anchor, in scale with the entirety of the university.
A bold manifesto—proclaiming, and elevating, the creative identity of the Utrecht Science Park.
