Rocky Mountain Cabin Village

Thatchcraft: Reimagining the traditional mountain cabin

In a hypothetical setting inspired by the canyons of the Rocky Mountains, a cluster of cabins is envisioned on the shore of an imaginary stream. The concept explores the use of thatch as a building material. Thatch is eco-friendly, has excellent insulation properties and has a symbolic association with shelter and comfort.

The interior proposes to create an alternative to traditional small cabin living rooms. Modern furniture together with abstract graphic wall paper and a colorful carpet are focused on a simple fire place. Wood is the dominant material, creating a warm, inviting ambiance that harmonizes with the natural surroundings.
